CO2 traffic light for indoor monitoring

SenseING launches CO2 traffic light for monitoring indoor spaces

The SenseKit.indoor developed by SenseING is a CO2 traffic light for monitoring indoor environmental conditions. Via a visual signal, the unit indicates, for example, when it is time to ventilate the premises.

More topical than ever is just how high the CO2concentration is indoors.Because regular ventilation in the rooms can significantly reduce the risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2. This is described in a recent statement by the Commission on Indoor Air Hygiene (IRK) at the Federal Environment Agency. CO2 traffic lights can serve as a guide to good or poor ventilation, according to the IRK. Even the use of mobile air purifiers is no substitute for adequate ventilation in schools. A healthy indoor climate in schools also creates an improvement in learning ability of up to 15 % (source: umweltbundesamt.de).

PoE cable is plugged into CO2 traffic light.

Even before the pandemic, the indoor climate was very important. The ability of pupils, students, employees and colleagues to learn and concentrate depends very much on the ambient conditions. The health department has already defined limit values for this, including sound pressure levels and brightness, for example.

The SenseKit.indoor can also monitor these parameters.

SenseING GmbH is founder of the month

One of the largest business incubators in Germany awards SenseING as founder of the month

The KIT incubator was founded in 2013 and is now one of the largest university incubators in Germany. They bundle all activities on the topics of founding and entrepreneurship to achieve more impact for their founding teams.

KIT-Gründerschmiede sees itself as an accelerator for innovative business ideas around the central future topics of our time such as digitization, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, mobility, and energy.

In its blog, KIT-Gründerschmiede publishes a monthly interview with the founder of the month. Our interview for the month of May can be read here.

SenseING participates in the master class 4 of the founder engine

The SenseING team could convince and is now part of the #Masterclass 4

In 2018, Founder engine was initiated by the state government of Baden-Württemberg, Vector Informatik, the University of Stuttgart, and Pioniergeist and completed in the inner circle by FESTO, STIHL, and Stuttgart Media University. The focus is on building scalable startups as the foundation for the SMEs of tomorrow

In the master class, experienced founders and experts work together with start-ups to take their companies to the next level.

The SenseING team is now officially part of the # masterclass 4 and is looking forward to the input of the coming months.

Minister of Economic Affairs talks to SenseING founders.

Visit of the Minister of Economy

"We are engaged in the development of sensors that are self-sufficient in energy" - with these words the SenseING team introduced yesterday's presentation at the AXEL Energy Accelerator .

Yesterday, the Minister of Economics Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut and State Secretary Katrin Schütz visited AXEL - the Energy Accelerator at the Technologiefabrik Karlsruhe GmbH. Thereby SenseING had the opportunity to present their start-up!

SenseKit receives EASA certification

Thanks to the cooperation with SkyTender Solutions AG , the first SenseKit was certified by EASA for use in civil aviation and successfully deployed.

Digitalization has also picked up speed in aviation. For example, SenseING has developed a sensor application for recording real environmental and operating conditions of a mobile postmix beverage plant. The application is intended to provide data to better evaluate the dimensioning and service life estimation of the beverage plant. The challenge here - the application must be approved for aviation. The battery and sensor application must meet certain conditions. The application was thoroughly tested in an EASA test procedure and then successfully certified for use in aviation. The data collected in the future can also be used to further develop the beverage line to market readiness. Maintenance cycles can be better planned, wear and tear can be identified, and warranty and liability claims can be countered.

SenseING is part of the Team Development of the AXELerator

We are pleased to have qualified for the Team Development of the AXEL Energy Accelerator with our vision of the energy self-sufficient sensor kit.

The AXEL Energy Accelerator is an initiative of fokus.Energie e. v. and offers different support programs for energy start-ups.

AXEL's mentors have an extensive network of their own. Together with the numerous contacts from the fokus.energie network, the conditions are in place to provide the founders with support in the acquisition of pilot applications and reference orders.

That's why we are delighted to have made it into the selection of startups for this year's Accelerator program. In the twelve-month program, the teams benefit from regular workshop and coaching sessions as well as intensive mentoring from experienced mentors from the energy sector. In addition to business learning and active support in product development, the Accelerator also offers corresponding know-how in the area of public relations.

The Accelerator Program enables us to shorten long product development and marketing cycles.
