Why temperature monitoring of the refrigerator is indispensable in the doctor's surgery

  • Temperature monitoring is mandatory when storing medicines. According to § 4 of the Pharmacy Operating Regulations (ApBetrO), medicines must be stored at the prescribed temperatures to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Cold or heat damage to vaccines and medicines must be avoided. Inadequate storage can jeopardise the stability of temperature-sensitive preparations (Source: RKI, „Storage of vaccines”).
  • Manual measurement is error-prone and time-consuming. The ABDA (Federal Union of German Pharmacists' Associations) therefore recommends digital systems for documentation in order to avoid reading errors and gaps in the recording.

Automatic temperature recording

The Träck 4G measures the temperature in the refrigerator at configurable intervals and sends the measured values to the cloud fully automatically without the need for manual input.

A data report from SenseING with information on a sensor and the recorded values. The report shows the sensor ID, the creation date, customer information (location: demo customer, address: Musterstraße 1), object information (e.g. refrigerator), as well as sensor details such as model number, version and measurement intervals. In addition, temperature and humidity data are displayed in a graphical analysis. The report contains a table with minimum, maximum and average values as well as the time frame of the recording.

4G transmission

Thanks to the integrated mobile phone technology none WLAN, Bluetooth or LoRaWAN connection required. Simply switch on and get started straight away!

    Do I need WLAN or Internet on site?
    No. Träck 4G works completely autonomously via mobile radio.
    Do I need my own mobile phone tariff for the tracker?
    No, the mobile phone tariff is already included in the rental fee. You receive a fully operational complete package, without any additional costs or a separate contract.
    How can I access my temperature data?
    You receive secure access to our cloud. There you can view and export all temperature curves and create reports.
    What do I need to consider when monitoring the temperature of the refrigerator in my doctor's surgery?
    Temperature monitoring of the refrigerator in your doctor's surgery is required by law if medicines or vaccines are stored there. You should note the following:
    • Continuous recording: The temperature should be documented around the clock, ideally automatically.
    • Alarm function: A notification must be sent immediately if the limit values are exceeded or not reached.
    • Audit-proof storage: The data should be stored digitally and in full.
    • No manual measurement: Manual entries are prone to error and are not recommended by professional associations such as the ABDA.
    What happens in the event of a power failure in the refrigerator?
    The self-sufficient tracker with rechargeable battery continues to send temperature data. In the event of critical deviations, an alarm notification is automatically triggered, which can also be sent by SMS or voice call.
    How long does the tracker's battery last?
